With nine years' experience in the lighting industry, Ms.Ruffles has in - depth knowledge and experience in daylight design, forming detailed analysis and interpresation using industry-leading analytics. 

Ms. Ruffles attended the University of Edinburgh where she studied Structural Engineering with Architecture with a concentration in "Daylight and Transparent Structures" for her Bachelor's thesis. She earned a Bachelor of Engineering in 2008. 

Ms. Ruffles is qualified as a LEED Green Associate and is Lighting Certified by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions. She is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America and is a board member of the Designers Lighting Forum of New York.

She has received the IES Illumination Award of Merit in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
